1. Introduction

Sports Mania ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Sports Mania website at sportsmania.app and the Sports Mania mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service, whether on web or mobile (iOS and Android).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Account information — name, email address, and password when you register.
• Google account information — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Apple account information — if you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we receive a private relay email address instead of your real one.
• Profile preferences — country, followed leagues, teams, sports, and notification settings.
• Communications — any messages you send us via email, our contact form, or support channels, including your name, email address, and the content of your message.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information — device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers (mobile app).
• Usage data — pages and screens viewed, features used, time spent, and interaction patterns.
• Log data — IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and access timestamps.
• Push notification token — if you enable push notifications on mobile, we store your FCM token to deliver notifications.
• Crash reports — error logs and crash diagnostics to improve app stability.

2.3 Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect payment or financial information.
• We do not collect your precise GPS location unless you explicitly grant location permission (used only to suggest your country).
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Deliver personalized sports content, scores, and game results based on your followed leagues and teams.
• Send push notifications for game updates, scores, and news (mobile app), which you can disable at any time in your device settings.
• Improve, maintain, and develop new features for the Service.
• Respond to your support requests and communications.
• Monitor usage patterns to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or behavioral advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — manages sign-in and account credentials for email, Google, and Apple logins.
• Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — used for authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to data Google collects. We only receive the profile data described in Section 2.1.
• Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.) — used for authentication on iOS and Android. Apple's privacy policy applies to data Apple collects. We only receive your name and email (or private relay email).
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) — used to deliver push notifications to the mobile app.
• Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — collects aggregated, non-advertising usage statistics (screens viewed, features used) to help us understand and improve the Service. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — collects crash reports and diagnostic data (such as device model, operating system, and the state of the app at the time of a crash) to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — our servers and databases are hosted on cloud infrastructure. Data is processed within their secure environments and may be located outside your country of residence.

These third parties are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing their services to us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

Usage logs and crash reports are retained for up to 90 days. Push notification tokens are deleted when you log out or uninstall the app.

6. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures including:

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
• All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
• Database access is restricted to authorized systems only.
• Authentication tokens are short-lived and refreshed securely.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and personal data.
• Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Opt-out of notifications — disable push notifications in your device or app settings at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 9. Mobile App Permissions

The Sports Mania mobile app may request the following permissions:

• Push notifications — to send game score updates. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.
• Internet access — required to fetch live scores and content.

We do not request permissions to access your camera, microphone, contacts, location (beyond initial country detection), or storage beyond what is necessary to run the app.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on cloud servers that may be located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to our servers in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
